BREAKING: New Disney Animated Film Announced, to be Released 2026

Today at the Walt Disney Studios Showcase Panel, a part of the Destination D23 event held at Walt Disney World, a new film from Walt Disney Animation Studios was announced.

The art for the logo is green and whimsical. Jared Bush, chief creative officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, was given a warm welcome at Destination D23 when he took the stage and exclusively revealed the title, project details and a brand-new animated logo for the studio’s November 2026 original feature Disney’s Hexed.

In the all-new animated film, Hexed, an awkward teenage boy and his Type – A mom discover that what makes him unusual, might just be magical powers that will turn their lives and a secret world of magic, upside down. Disney’s Hexed opens in theaters November 2026. The feature is directed by Josie Trinidad and Jason Hand, with Roy Conli and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster-Jones producing.

According to Screen Rant, the movie is set to follow a teenage oddball and his mom, who discover his weirdness is actually hidden magic, transporting them to a world where magic can run free.
