Patrick Warburton to Voice Mayor Winddancer in Zootopia 2

During today’s Walt Disney Studios Showcase Panel at Destination D23 2025, actor and Soarin’ preshow star Patrick Warburton announced that he is the voice of Mayor Winddancer in the upcoming film, Zootopia 2.

Warburton described the character as “a horse” and an actor who has never been a politician before, so “we will see how that goes.” The character will be a charismatic but clueless stallion who dreams of being as heroic in real life as the characters he once played on television.

Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Clawhauser then joined Jared Bush and Patrick Warburton on stage. It was recently announced that there will be a new Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde meet and greet at Discovery Island near the Tree of Life. Judy and Nick wear new looks from Zootopia 2 at the Zoogether Day Gathering Spot. With the appearance of Clawhauser, we might see him in the parks, as well.

Ginnifer Goodwin returns as the voice of Judy alongside Jason Bateman as Nick. Other returning cast members include Shakira as Gazelle, Maurice LaMarche as Mr. Big, and Raymond S. Persi as Flash the Sloth. Fortune Feimster joins the cast as Nibbles the Beaver. Quinta Brunson will voice Dr. Fuzzby.
