Disney World Dining Reservations Unavailable in My Disney Experience App Before Beak and Barrel Bookings Open

Walt Disney World dining reservations are not currently available in the My Disney Experience app, likely related to tonight’s opening of The Beak and Barrel bookings.

My Disney Experience Dining Reservations Removed

Clicking on “Check Dining Availability” or “Reserve Dining” anywhere in the app will automatically open the reservations page in a web browser instead of the in-app reservation system.

Guests in the park can still join a restaurant’s walk-up list via the app.

Walt Disney World updated their dining reservation system this summer. Those updated tools remain available via a web browser.

The removal of reservations from the app is probably temporary for the opening of The Beak and Barrel reservations. When Disney tried to open reservations for the new Pirates of the Caribbean bar last week, the entire dining reservation system went down. It later came back online without The Beak and Barrel. Disney then announced The Beak and Barrel reservations would open on Wednesday, August 20, at 7 p.m. ET.

Dining reservations usually open in the morning, but the late time seems to be an effort to curb potential crashes, as fewer guests will be making other reservations. With dining reservations no longer available in the app, Disney will also be able to control a possible virtual queue on the website.

The Beak and Barrel

A cozy lounge where people sit at tables, chatting and enjoying drinks. Warm lighting from chandeliers and wall sconces creates an inviting atmosphere reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean. Paintings and plants adorn the walls, adding charm to this magical setting.

The Beak and Barrel will open at Magic Kingdom on Friday, August 29, 2025. It will be open for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, with reservations for the latter opening later.

The bar takes over the space formerly occupied by The Pirates League. It introduces a new character named Rummy, who is inspired by the attraction’s original Barker Bird. Rummy is first mate to Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, the bar’s proprietor. It is split into two rooms, The Mess and Captain’s Quarters. Rummy will appear in The Mess, while bottled ships will come to life in the Captain’s Quarters.

Parties will have a 45-minute limit in The Beak and Barrel, like Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. See the full menu for The Beak and Barrel.
