A new video taken by a guest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge shows a seemingly upset giraffe whacking a hog in the nearby savanna.
Editor’s Note: A previous version of this article incorrectly identified the animal as a warthog. It has since been identified as a Red River Hog.
Giraffe Chops Hog

The video of this incident was shared on TikTok by user @myrooknest. The video only includes the caption, “Giraffe vs. Pumbaa (misspelled as Pumba) at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.”
The video, which appear to be taken from one of the nearby balconies overlooking the savanna, shows a giraffe running forward. The giraffe runs up behind a nearby hog, before raising one leg and aggressively hitting the hog’s back. The hog squeals in alarm, but appears to be okay as it runs away.
The giraffe appears to contemplate charging the warthog again, but remains standing and simply watches the warthog from a distance. The video does not include any information about what might have started this aggressive behavior.
