The Beak and Barrel is a new Pirates of the Caribbean bar at Magic Kingdom. Its opening date will be Friday, August 29, 2025, with reservations opening on August 14. It will be open during the day and during the after-hours events Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Disney Resort hotel guests will be able to book The Beak and Barrel for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starting on September 3. They can make reservations for dates up to 60 days in advance of their arrival for the entire length of stay (up to a 10-night stay).

All other guests can book The Beak and Barrel for the holiday party starting on September 8.

The Beak and Barrel Details

Text reads "The Beak and Barrel" in ornate black lettering on a parchment-like background.

The Beak and Barrel takes over the former Pirates League space in Adventureland. The makeover experience closed permanently in 2020. Bar guests will have a 45-minute window (similar to Oga’s Cantina) to enjoy bites and beverages, including cocktails for guests ages 21 and up.

The bar brings back the attraction’s old Barker Bird, but as a new character named Rummy. As first mate to Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, Rummy runs the bar while Captain Merry is away. The bird will share tales of piracy and lead guests in rousing toasts as he walks along the bar in The Mess, the venue’s central space. The Beak and Barrel will also have the Captain’s Quarters room with miniature bottled ships that come to life and engage in battle.
