A tall pile driver now looms over Disney’s Hollywood Studios as construction continues on the future Monsters Inc. Land.

Construction Continues on Future Monsters Inc. Land

On a recent visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed a looming pile driver that can be seen from most of the park.

From just outside of the former Muppet Courtyard, the driver can be seen just past one of the remaining buildings. The Stage 1 Company Store has been completely demolished, and most of the rubble has been cleared away. The pile driver is likely being used to create foundation for the area set to become Monstropolis.

The show building for MuppetVision 3D is still untouched. However, the most recent concept art for Monstropolis shows that this building will remain standing and be reimagined to fit the new theme, so there will not be as much demolition taking place on this side of Muppets Courtyard. See the concept art below.

While the Muppets have been evicted from this area of the park, they are set to take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, currently starring Aerosmith. Disney recently shared new concept art, details, and logo for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
