Review

Cat’s Meow – $17

Misguided Spirits gin, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, lime juice, and honeydew syrup

It was tough to navigate HHN crowds with this plastic martini glass filled to the brim. There are promising notes in this, but it ultimately left us wanting to go in another direction (and not just on the crowded street). It was sticky and tasted like cheap alcohol with artificial flavoring.

Zazzler – $18

Misguided Spirits whiskey, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, Bravo Falernum, and BG Reynolds grenadine

This is sort of a nod to an Old Fashioned, but there are a lot of flavors going on that do not match well. The price is also a bit much. Overall, a pretty forgettable drink.

Ragamuffin Mocktail – $9

Lemon juice, simple syrup, ginger purée, and mint essence

The had very refreshing notes of mint and citrus. We could chug this whole thing in the heat. The cocktails have been pretty good this year, but we might consider this one the best so far.
