The Walt Disney World dining reservations system is down as The Beak and Barrel reservations are supposed to open.
Walt Disney World Dining System Down
The system went down shortly before 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Guests are mostly met with error pages, like the one above, on both the Walt Disney World website and the My Disney Experience app.
Reservations were set to open this morning for The Beak and Barrel, the new Pirates of the Caribbean bar in Magic Kingdom. The bar will open on Friday, August 29, 2025.
Around 7 a.m., we were able to set up a reservation for The Beak and Barrel, but the system crashed again before we could actually book it. We then called the reservation center but were put on hold with an approximate wait time of two hours.
One hour into that wait, Disney hung up on one of our reporters (another remains on hold). When we attempted to call back, we got a pre-recorded message saying dining reservations are not available at this time.
Our website is currently experiencing technical difficulties, and all dining reservations are currently unavailable. We invite you to check back at a later time.
Current pre-recorded message when calling
We also visited Guest Relations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but they said they were also having trouble with the system.
As of 8:13 a.m., the system is still having difficulties and no dining reservations are available. Other aspects of the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience are still functioning.
Around 9:41 a.m., the reservation system returned to functionality, but The Beak and Barrel is still unavailable for booking.
The Beak and Barrel

The Beak and Barrel will be next to Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland, taking over the former Pirates League space. It will be open during the after-hours Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Reservations for the Christmas party will open in a few weeks.
Similar to Oga’s Cantina, The Beak and Barrel guests will have a 45-minute window to enjoy bites and beverages, including cocktails for guests ages 21 and up.

The bar brings back the attraction’s Barker Bird but as a new character named Rummy. Rummy is first mate to Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn and runs the bar while she’s away. He will share tales of piracy and lead guests in rousing toasts as he walks along the bar in The Mess, the venue’s central space. The Beak and Barrel will also have the Captain’s Quarters room with miniature bottled ships that come to life and engage in battle.
