Walt Disney World Dining Reservations Reopen, Still No Beak and Barrel Bookings

After an outage this morning, the Walt Disney World dining reservations system is back online. However, bookings have still not opened for The Beak and Barrel.

The dining system went down just before 6 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, when reservations were supposed to open for The Beak and Barrel, the new Pirates of the Caribbean tavern at Magic Kingdom. The system was down for several hours, and guests could not make any dining reservations.

By 9:41 a.m., the system was restored, but The Beak and Barrel reservations were not open. Guests can make reservations for all other restaurants and bars. Guest Relations Cast Members do not know when reservations will open for the new bar.

The Beak and Barrel will open next to Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland on Friday, August 29. It replaces The Pirates League. The tavern will be open during the after-hours Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Reservations for the Christmas party are set to open in a few weeks.

Similar to Oga’s Cantina, The Beak and Barrel guests will only have a 45-minute window to enjoy drinks and dine. The restaurant will offer food items and cocktails for guests ages 21 and up. Check out the full menu for The Beak and Barrel and The Beak and Barrel merchandise.

The bar features a new character named Rummy, inspired by the attraction’s original Barker Bird. Rummy is first mate to Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, the bar’s proprietor. Rummy will share tales of piracy and lead guests in rousing toasts as he walks along the bar in The Mess, the venue’s central space. A second room will be the Captain’s Quarters, featuring miniature bottled ships that come to life and engage in battle.
