In a first for HHN, one of the Intellectual Properties this year is the WWE. Will it be as weird as it sounds to have a wrestling-themed house, or are the twisted tales of the Wyatt Sicks a good fit for HHN?
Backstory

Enter the eerie arena of The Wyatt Sicks, where you’ll go through an ominous doorway into the maniacal minds of Uncle Howdy, Rambling Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch and Huskus the Pig.
The house centers around a group of wrestlers known as the Wyatt Sicks, named such in memorial to Bray Wyatt. The group is led by Wyatt’s brother, who performs as Uncle Howdy. The house also features Wyatt’s supernatural alter-ego, The Fiend.
While the WWE may seem like a strange choice on the surface, the theatricality of the production and the horror-inspired gimmick of the Wyatt Sicks offer a fresh source of inspiration for the event. It’s technically not the first time HHN has incorporated a WWE-adjacent property. Halloween Horror Nights 2000 at Universal Studios Hollywood featured a haunted maze inspired by wrestler The Undertaker.
Review

First things first, this is a lore-filled house. There are so many tributes and small details that were clearly designed by someone who knows the world of WWE and the Wyatt Sicks well. If you are coming into this house as an existing fan, this house will be an easy win. It has a practically endless number of fan service moments for the most hardcore of fans that will make this house not only worth the investment but repeatable.
However, HHN also did an excellent job making the universe of Bray Wyatt open for everyone to enjoy. There are enough tidbits to build stories and personalities for each of the characters represented in this house, even if you don’t know their full backstories.

There were some fun meta moments, such as entering a WWE-style production center, that reminded us of Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count in 2023. This particular location is behind a door in the Gorilla Position, just before going out of the curtain and on to the ring.
But then it is balanced with these deeper emotional beats toward the latter end of the house that hit hard, even if you don’t know Bray Wyatt has passed away. In one particularly simple but profound moment, there is a single lantern sitting in a rocking chair. You can just feel that it meant something deep to the person who put it there and represents a whole group of fans.
Ultimately, you can tell a house did a good job when people who entered it weren’t fans entering it leave the house wanting to learn more. This house made us immediately want to go find the compilation videos of all the Wyatt Sicks lore, and there is no higher praise than that.
Rating
For one of our reporters who is a serious fan, this would be another 7. For our other reporter who was not as well-versed in the lore, we still rated this house very high.
Rating out of 7: 6
