Construction walls have arrived at Animation Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios following most of the area’s closure.
Animation Courtyard Construction Walls

Construction walls block the far right archway entrance, and stretch back into the courtyard. They also run to the left of the archway, which will be demolished as part of the area’s reimagining. For now, the main entryway and the left entryway are still open.

Though most of Animation Courtyard is now closed, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure will remain open. Showtimes are posted on a sign on the construction walls.

There’s also a sign for stroller parking in front of the construction walls, near Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Beyond the archway, the walls run parallel to the Little Mermaid building, leaving space to access its entrance and outdoor gift shop. There are a few rolling planters in front of a scrim section in the walls. The Star Wars: Launch Bay marquee is visible in the distance.

The construction walls on the side of the archway run until the stairs leading down from Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. These just block planters and walls for now.

The walls are adorned with Disney character quotes, directional signage, and “Cast Members Only” signs.
The last day for the old version of Animation Courtyard was September 24, 2025. The courtyard will be reimagined into a Walt Disney Studios-inspired area. Star Wars: Launch Bay permanently closed and will become a new version of The Magic of Disney Animation, the opening day attraction that Star Wars: Launch Bay replaced.
