D23 Gold Members will have the chance to watch a showing of Unfairly Ever After and learn how Imagineers use special effects in attractions during this special event.
D23 Gold Member Event
“A Spooktacular Spotlight” will take place on October 12, 2025. It’s part of the D23 Spotlight Series and will have a panel discussion with Walt Disney Imagineering. Members will get an inside look into “Illusioneering” within attractions like the Haunted Mansion.
Illusioneering refers to the creation of special effects to create magical and immersive experiences. Imagineers use science, technology, and art in a variety of ways to accomplish this.
The special-ticketed event also includes an exclusive showing of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After before Disney’s Hollywood Studios opens.
Event offerings include:
- Exclusive showing of Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After at Disney’s Hollywood Studios prior to park opening
- Panel presentation with Walt Disney Imagineering at AMC Disney Springs
- Popcorn and drink voucher
- Limited-Release D23 Halloween Pin
- Event Credential
Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET for $67/person. D23 Gold Members can invite one guest.
Special Considerations
A Spooktacular Spotlight requires members to board buses at Disney Spring’s West Side Bus Loop to get to Hollywood Studios. They will not be able to park at Hollywood Studios. Then they will need to walk from the bus area to the theater inside the park to watch Unfairly Ever After and then walk back to the bus loading area.
To watch the panel discussion, ticket holders will board buses back to Disney Springs and walk to the AMC Theater.
Admission to Hollywood Studios is not included in the price of the event ticket. Guests must be at least 10 years old, and guests younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
