The Moana-section of the EPCOT parking lot has reopened after a month-long resurfacing project.
Moana Lot Resurfaced

The effort to resurface this area, also known as the Moana section, of the EPCOT parking lot began on August 26, creating a more difficult parking situation for guests as the overall size of the lot was reduced.

As of the morning of September 27, the lot is now re-opened with a large section available to guests needing handicap-accessible parking.

As seen in this photo taken a few days before the work wrapped up, several rows of the lot are now dedicated to guests needing handicap spots.

While the lot was still blocked off with cones on September 23, the paving appeared to be complete and sign poles were put back into place.

As seen from the monorail, the fresh pavement, parking lines, and locations have been repainted and are brightly-colored again. The concrete is also mush fresher and has fewer signs of weathering.
EPCOT Parking

The parking lot at EPCOT underwent a major transformation in 2023 with new names. Instead of “East” and “West”, lots are now categorized under “Earth” and “Space.” Sections of the Earth lot are named Heihei, Moana, Crush, and Dory. Space lots include Wall-E, Eve, Rocket, and Gamora-themed sections.
Signs in each lot have character photos and row numbers to help you find your car easily. You can also use the “Car Locator” function in the My Disney Experience app.
