In honor of the 85th anniversary of Pinocchio, a new Harveys tote inspired by the animated classic is available at Walt Disney World.
We found the bag in Uptown Jewelers at Magic Kingdom.
Pinocchio Harveys Tote Bag – $228
The signature seatbelt bag is gray with dark blue stripes framing the printed poster image for Pinocchio. Featured characters include the titular puppet, Figaro, and Jiminy Cricket all in full color. In the background are the Blue Fairy, Geppetto, Gideon the Cat, “Honest” John Worthington Foulfellow, Stromboli, and more.
The reverse side is blank. The blue stripes lead down from a pair of handles on the top of the bag. The bottom is blue with flat metal feet.
A gold-tone Disney charm is attached to one of the rings on the corners of the bag. It includes a detachable shoulder strap that clips on these rings.
The interior lining is bright blue with an all-over yellow pattern of stars and the Disney logo. The compartment zips up and there’s a small zip pocket inside.
We also recently found a Pinocchio 85th anniversary flannel by Cakeworthy at Disneyland.
Based on the book The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, Disney’s Pinocchio was released in 1940. Though a commercial failure due to World War II, the film was the first animated feature to win competitive Academy Awards. It won Best Original Score and Best Original Song for When You Wish Upon a Star.
