We are back with another comprehensive tour of all the different room types at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel near Epic Universe. This time, we have a look at the How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suite.
How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suite Tour
Hallway

The hallway to the Kids’ Suites looks the same as the other hallways in the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, with the white walls, blue patterned carpet, and gold signage for each room.
Entry & Living Room

The door opens directly into the main living room space without a long entry hallway. The room has plain white walls and a blue, semi-fuzzy carpet with a dusty rose pattern.
The total room size, including both bedrooms, is 545 square feet.

This room has a gray couch that transforms into a bed for an extra sleeping space.

The couch extends out towards the TV stand on the opposite wall, so you could watch TV while laying in “bed.”

Next to the couch is a small white end table that, when the couch is a bed, could also function as a nightstand. It has a lamp and single drawer underneath.

Guests are provided with a room guide for the hotel’s policies and a list of important locations.

The TV stand serves two purposes, as it also functions in place of the usual counter with the fridge, microwave, and coffee machine.

The cabinet is a tan wood color with gold hardware and a white counter on top.

The coffee machine comes prepared with a variety of coffee and tea pods for guests to use, as well as some helpful instructions.

The black fridge is a standard hotel room size, but it has shelves and a drawer near the bottom for plenty of storage.

To the right side of the fridge is a small gold trash can, which is unique because it has a semicircle shape.

The cabinet has more open shelving space, though the ice bucket and some cups are stored in here when you arrive.

The ice bucket is white with gold trim, just like the tray it is placed on. The cups are standard glass, but they do come with blue Helios-branded coasters.

On the side wall is a tall gold mirror with rounded edges near the top.

Hanging from the door is the usual Do Not Disturb sign, but this one is also themed for the Helios Grand Hotel. It says “Counting Stars” and has a blue pattern that mirrors the blue floral pattern seen on the headboard of the bed.

There is some art in this space of the different phases of the moon, which we have previously seen in some of the other room types.

Finally, this space is lit by a geometric-patterned gold orb light.
Bathroom

Despite being a suite with multiple bedrooms, all the guests share a single bathroom. The door is located just off the living room for easy access. The bathroom has white walls and matching white tile flooring.

Two white fluffy bathmats are placed near the sinks.

The cabinets are an off-white color with gold hardware. Some of the lower sections have a textured ripple effect.

The counter has two sinks, with one on either side. Both have gold faucets.

Next to the sink on the right is a container with some of the complimentary bath items, such as cotton balls and swabs.

There is a lit magnifying mirror on this right side as well.

On the left side of the opposite sink is a tray with more glassware and Julien Farel-branded supplies, including a face soap bar, shower cap, and lotion.

Not all of the cabinets below the sinks open, but there are some drawers on the sides for additional storage.

The room with the shower and toilet is separated from the sinks by a full-sized door. The shower is accented with pale blue vertical tiles.

The shower has more of the non-Universal branded items like shampoo, conditioner, and soap.

There is a mounted shower head that cannot be taken off the wall.

The toilet is located in the same room as the shower, though there is obviously a shower curtain to divide the two.
Main Bedroom

Our next stop is the main bedroom, which would be for the adults if this room were used by a full family (though we could hardly blame any adults who want to grab a bed in the themed room instead).

This room has one larger bed, which appeared to be king-sized. The walls are still white, and it continues the same carpet as the living room.

The bed has an off-white blanket and a blue pillow accent. It faces another TV on the opposite wall.

This headboard is similar to most of the other ones you will see in the standard rooms at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel. It is slightly padded and has a squishy texture.

Hanging from either side of the headboard are some gold, orb-shaped light fixtures.

The headboard also has some built-in reading lights on either side.

This room has the control buttons for the air conditioning and the drapes.

Placed near the window is a padded, circular chair with fabric in the same dusty rose color as the carpet.

Either side of the bed also has a nightstand with the same cabinet style as the bathroom.

The nightstands have built-in outlets for charging devices, including standard plugs, USBs, and a USB-C.

This room has a closet with a dark blue door, matching the one in the bathroom. You’ll find the usual hangers for clothes, extra blankets, an iron, and more.

The hotel does offer some laundry services, which have Helios-branded labels.

There is a standard hotel safe built into the left wall.

Our room was located on the far side of the hotel facing backstage areas, though you could see some of the roofs for Wizarding Paris in the distance.
How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Bedroom

Perhaps the most interesting part of this room is the How to Train Your Dragon kids’ room. Unlike the other spaces, the door already starts off themed with brown wood and a metal knocker in the center.

Inside this room, you’ll find two twin-sized beds and one more TV. The carpet in this room is different and has more of a light blue color with white speckles.

The beds have unique pillows and runners in shades of blue and bright orange.

The TV is housed in a Viking-style cabinet that is painted to look like it was carved out of wood.

Below the TV is a cabinet with round pulls, but the doors open to reveal sliding drawers for clothes.

The beds in this room are modeled like the dragon houses seen in How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk. The bed on the left has a blue peak with gold and white swirls.

The bed on the right has a red peak with teal and gold swirls, as well as more jagged edges along the top.

The interior of the “dragon house” is painted like the TV stand to look like carved wood.

A single nightstand is shared by both beds. It is shaped like a rough wooden stool. The light in this room is shaped like a lantern instead of a more traditional lamp.

Behind the beds is a printed wall “mural” with a cloudy sky. Toothless, the Light Fury, and all three Night Lights are seen soaring through the air.
