FULL TOUR: Walt and Roy Disney Rooms in 1923 on the Disney Destiny

Each Disney ship in the Wish Class has 1923, a main dining restaurant within the rotational dining experience on Disney Cruise Line. Two dining rooms, aptly named Walt and Roy, showcase the evolution of Disney animation. Here is a full tour of the artwork in each room on the Disney Destiny.

Named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 celebrates the golden age of animation.

1923 offers a taste of the Golden Age as you dine amid storyboards, sketches, and props recalling the heroes and villains of classic Disney animated movies. 1923 immerses Guests in the sophisticated dining experience of the era—complete with the fresh and tantalizing flavors of California.

The rotational dinner restaurant is separated in two sections: Roy Disney and Walt Disney. Make sure to check your Navigator app to see which one you are dining in. New art has been added to the location aboard the Disney Destiny.

Roy Room

The Roy Disney has display cases throughout the space with sketches, props, and memorabilia for several Disney and Pixar films.

Emperor’s New Groove

A sign with a llama and a red line through it is in the bottom corner of the Emperor’s New Groove display.

We also spotted Kuzco’s gold hat.

Toy Story

Sketches, models, and more artwork is placed inside this Toy Story display.

Can you find the Pixar ball?

The Incredibles

Frozone, Edna Mode, and the Incredible family are on display as well.

The large portraits of the family are pretty great!

Sleeping Beauty

We spotted models of the fairies, along with more artwork and a story book for the Sleeping Beauty display. The cases can be viewed from either side of the glass.

Tangled

Large sketches of Rapunzel and Mother Gothel are the main pieces of art in the Tangled display. There is also art of Flynn Rider. We also spotted a floating lantern.

There are so many details in all of these displays.

Peter Pan

A lot of artwork and sketches from Peter Pan are in 1923.

Peter Pan’s hat is in the corner, along with a clock.

Meet the Robinsons

The Meet the Robinsons display has sketches, a model car, and a baseball glove. There is also a portrait of Lewis with his skinned knees.

Monsters, Inc.

Lastly, models, sketches, and props from Monsters, Inc. are featured . Sulley holds Boo in the large artwork in the center.

Walt Room

The Walt Disney dining room also has display cases throughout the space with sketches, models, and memorabilia for animated films.

The Little Mermaid

Sketches include Ursula, Ariel, King Triton, and Prince Eric. We also found Ursula’s necklace and Triton’s crown in the case.

Cars

Cars is represented with plenty of artwork and other props.

Aladdin

1923 offers a taste of the Golden Age as you dine amid storyboards, sketches, and props recalling the heroes and villains of classic Disney animated movies.

Models of the Genie, Aladdin, and Jasmine are in this case, as is the lamp.

Hercules

Large sketches of Hercules and Megara are surrounded by colorful artwork and models.

101 Dalmatians

Guests of 1923 will find dog collars, a model of Cruella’s car, and more in the 101 Dalmatians display.

Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6 is represented as well. The purple Hiro art contrasts the yellow Baymax art.

Wreck-It Ralph

Colorful illustrations, sketches, medals, and more are in the Wreck-It Ralph display. Be sure to check out the themed slide for the Oceaneer Club.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Lastly, model grapes, a bottle wine, and more props surround sketches and artwork represent Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the Walt dining room.
