Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park is closing a few days this week due to cold weather in Central Florida.
Typhoon Lagoon Closed
Typhoon Lagoon is closing on December 30 and 31 due to cold weather. Additionally, it will also remain closed on January 1 but is scheduled to reopen on January 2. Typhoon Lagoon is usually open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to weather.com, temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s for most of the week. By the end of this week, it will be back in the 70s.
It’s common for the water parks to temporarily close during the winter months due to inclement weather. Both Typhoon Lagoon and Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort have both closed already this season. It will likely close more throughout the winter.

Guests arriving at Walt Disney World in 2025 can enjoy complimentary water park admission on check-in day, and will want to keep these closures in mind. This perk will return for summer 2026.
