According the Disneyland website, “it’s a small world” will close to remove its holiday overlay on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Holiday festivities at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California are scheduled to continue into the new year until January 7. However, upon closer inspection on the “it’s a small world” Disneyland webpage, it appears that the ride will remain operational well past that date:

The calendar on the attraction’s webpage indicates that the ride will remain open throughout much of January from 8am to 8pm local time, until at least Sunday, January 25. No future availability is shown as of Monday, January 26.

This would align with the previous year’s change in scheduling to remove the holiday overlay. In January of 2025, “it’s a small world” had its typical post-holiday closure pushed back to wait until the seasonal Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay was removed and the Haunted Mansion resumed regular operations.

Although the website says the holiday overlay is only on offer until January 7, the later closure date reflected by the calendar currently suggests that Disneyland operations may be mirroring the attraction schedule we experienced this year. If that’s the case, it’s possible the classic attraction could be down until April, or as late as May.
