Season 3 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has added several notable guest stars to its cast.
More Percy Jackson Season 3 Casting Announced
As reported by Deadline earlier today, several acting veterans have been cast for three more roles in Season 3 the ongoing Disney+ series.
Holt McCallany has been cast as the Titan Atlas, one of the major antagonists from The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s series. McCallany can recently be seen in Netflix’s The Waterfront as well as Misson Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part 2. Some of his other credits include A24’s The Iron Claw, the Apple series Foundation, Guy Ritchie’s Wrath of Man and Guillermo del Toro’s Nightmare Alley.
David Costabile will portray Dr. Thorn, a character who in the source material serves as a dangerous adversary to Percy and his friends. Costabile is known for his work on a steady stream of television shows such as Billions, Suits, Damages, The Wire and Breaking Bad. He will soon be seen in Mark Waters’ feature film, Hershey.
Additionally, Jesse L. Martin has been announced in the role of Annabeth Chase’s father, Frederick Chase. Most recently, Jesse L. Martin led the NBC series The Irrational for two seasons. His decades-long television career includes appearances on Ally McBeal, Law & Order, The X-Files, Smash, The Flash and more.
These casting announcements build on earlier additions for Season 3, which include actors portraying other key figures from the book’s story, as the series continues its adaptation of The Titan’s Curse for Disney+. The third season has previously revealed roles such as Artemis, Zoë Nightshade, and Aphrodite, among others, indicating a robust expansion of the series’ mythological world.
The news reflects ongoing production developments as the show prepares to bring these iconic characters to life in live-action form, continuing the narrative established in the first two seasons and following the critical and fan enthusiasm surrounding the franchise.
