'TRON Ares' Blu-Ray, DVD, & SteelBook Release Date

Fans can bring TRON: Ares home on Blu-ray, DVD, and SteelBook in one week.

The TRON: Ares Blu-ray, DVD, and Limited-Edition Collectible SteelBook will be released on January 6, 2026.

The home video release comes three months after the third TRON film was released in theaters. It was a box office bomb, earning only $142.2 million on a budget between $180 and $220 million. Critics reactions were mixed and it was suggested the film was just an advertisement for the TRON ride at Magic Kingdom. The film’s score and original song by Nine Inch Nails, as well as the visual effects, did earn mentions on the Oscars shortlist.

A red TRON: Ares overlay featuring Nine Inch Nails music debuted on TRON Lightcycle Run a few weeks before the film’s release. It will end in January — a longer run than the movie’s theatrical release. Watch our nighttime POV of the ride below.
