TRON: Ares will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning on January 7, 2026.
The streaming date is the day after the film will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Limited-Edition Collectible SteelBook — all less than three months after its theatrical release.
TRON: Ares was a box office bomb, earning only $142.2 million on an estimated budget between $180 and $220 million. Critics’ reactions were mixed, but the film’s score and original song by Nine Inch Nails, as well as its visual effects, earned mentions on the Oscars shortlist.
Some suggested the movie was just an advertisement for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom, which debuted a TRON: Ares overlay in September. The overlay features red lightning and Nine Inch Nails music. It will end in January.
