All Potential Star Wars Content Coming to Screens and Disney Parks in 2026

While we won’t see the canceled Kylo Ren movie The Hunt for Ben Solo in 2026, there are several Star Wars projects coming to screens and Disney Parks this year.

Films & TV Series

The Mandalorian and Grogu

The film will be the first Star Wars movie in theaters since The Rise of Skywalkerwas released in 2019. It will be in theaters on May 22, 2026.

The Mandalorian Disney+ series ran for three seasons from 2019 to 2023. A fourth season was in development but it’s not clear if that is still planned or if the film is replacing it.

The film stars Pedro Pascal returning as Din Djarin a.k.a. The Mandalorian alongside Grogu a.k.a. “Baby Yoda.” The cast also includes Sigourney Weaver as Ward, Jeremy Allen White as Rotta the Hutt, and Jonny Coyne reprising his role from the Disney+ series as an Imperial Warlord. Zeb Orrelios, voiced by Steve Blum, from Star Wars Rebels appears after a cameo in The Mandalorianseason 3.

Ahsoka Season 2

Expected to release sometime in late 2026, production on the second season of Ahsoka recently wrapped in 2025. Most of the main cast are all expected to return as well. Rory McCann from Game of Thrones will be taking over the role of Baylan Skoll from the late Ray Stevenson, and Hayden Christensen has been confirmed to return.

Also rumored to reprise her role is Natalie Portman as Padmé Amidala in season 2 of the Disney+ series Ahsoka. While it’s uncertain where Amidala would fit within the series, there is speculation that she could appear via the World Between Worlds, a realm in which Ahsoka encountered her old Jedi Master in the first season. She could also appear in flashbacks, like those used in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
