Elio producer Mary Alice Drumm and Zootopia 2 producer Yvett Merino have each been nominated for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures by the 2026 Producers Guild Awards.

Other nominees in the category include Damon Ross for The Bad Guys 2, Michelle L.M. Wong for KPop Demon Hunters, and the producers of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle.
Elio was released last summer and though its box office total was a modest $154 million, it was met with positive reviews and holds an 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. Read our Elio review.
Zootopia 2, on the other hand, has become Disney’s highest-grossing animated film and one of the top grossing animated films of all time. It was also met with positive reviews, holding a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Elio and Zootopia 2 are also nominated for the Golden Globes.
Other Disney projects nominated for Producers Guild Awards include Andor, which is up for the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Drama, and Hulu’s The Bear and Only Murders in the Building, which are both nominated for the Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television – Comedy.
As previously announced, LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past and Phineas and Ferb are both nominated for The Award for Outstanding Children’s Program.
The 37th Annual Producers Guild Awards will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
