Crews have removed signs and the entrance archway from the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin attraction at Magic Kingdom. Disney recently filed a permit for new signage.

Construction walls went up last week around the exterior of the attraction. They were later decorated with quotes and “Operations Suspended” signs.
Operations Suspended
Star Command Code, Section 2-3A.C/D_9V: Crystolic fusion power cells depleted. Initiate immediate Recharge Protocols. All launches postponed until resource acquisition units return.
Please proceed to adjacent mission zones.
Pictured above is what the signage looked like behind the walls last week. Below is a similar view from Monday, January 19.
The signs that hung under the PeopleMover track are gone, including the stand-by and Lightning Lane signs. The Star Command Headquarters sign and its support pole are also gone.

From the PeopleMover, we confirmed more theming elements were gone. The entrance was formerly framed by a green archway. There were red and white striped decals to the sides of the doors with flat buttons.

The wall is still dark purple with a gray outline where the archway used to be. There’s a gray rectangle above the doors where there was previously a marquee featuring Buzz and Zurg.

Dark spots on the purple walls are the silhouettes of where the stylised Tesla coils and electricity artwork were. The sliding glass doors remain, decorated with “Operations Suspended” decals.
Below is what the entire entryway used to look like.

Space Ranger Spin will reopen this spring with new vehicles, blasters, targets, and more. The attraction has been closed since August 4, 2025.
