Construction Walls Go Up at Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Entrance for New Signage

Though Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom has been closed since August 2025, the ride’s entrance was still visible for the past several months. Now, construction walls are blocking it from view.

The walls wrap around the front of the building, underneath the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover track. They jut out into the walkway significantly, likely to make space for a construction vehicle.

The walls went up overnight (January 11-12) following the conclusion of Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

When the ride reopens, it will have updated interactive targets, new handheld blasters on new ride vehicles, and new scenes featuring original character Buddy and Buzz fighting Zurg.
