After years of financial issues, the specialty retailer Francesca’s is closing for good, which will include its store in Disney Springs.
Francesca’s Clothing Chain Shutting Down

According to a story by Women’s Wear Daily reported by several sources, Francesca’s is planning to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and close all 450-plus of its retail stores. This includes the Francesca’s location in Disney Springs, which is still displaying active business hours for the foreseeable future and has not announced when it will close.

Meanwhile, the Francesca’s website is advertising a “last chance, online only” warehouse sale.
The news comes after the chain has already been struggling for several years. In 2020, Francesca’s filed for bankruptcy for the first time and closed hundreds of stores. It was then sold to a venture capital firm for $18 million in 2021.
