A TikTok video shows the George Washington Audio-Animatronic in Hall of Presidents malfunctioning during a New Year’s Eve showing at Magic Kingdom.

George Washington Malfunction

In the video posted by TikTok user @kristle_golden, George Washington starts his narration, then the first President’s Audio-Animatronic begins to slowly fold over from his typical upright position. By the time his narration ends, the animatronic figure is completely bent over. It also appears that his facial expressions were stuck prior to the malfunction.

This is not the first malfunction of its kind. In 2021, Lincoln slumped over during his delivery of the Gettysburg Address, likely stuck as he tried to rise from his chair. 

The Hall of Presidents

This 25-minute show features all 45 U.S. Presidents in Audio Animatronic form as the dramatic story of the nation’s founding is told. Three massive digital projection screens and a grand proscenium share highlights of our history, including the foundation of the Constitution, Civil War, and other key events.

The “queue” for the attraction showcases portraits of Presidents and other exhibits with various artifacts relating to the United States.
