Even though it’s only Wednesday, it’s been a bad week to be an Audio-Animatronic at Walt Disney World.

On Tuesday night, a guest at the Magic Kingdom managed to capture footage of the Abraham Lincoln Audio-Animatronic malfunctioning in The Hall of Presidents.

The video, posted by @daytonac500 on TikTok, shows Lincoln slumped over during his delivery of the Gettysburg Address, likely stuck as he rises from his chair. The attraction reopened earlier this month after being closed for most of the year to install the Audio-Animatronic of the newest president, Joe Biden.

Lincoln is just the latest figure to have technical issues. On Monday, the Audio-Animatronic of Donald Duck at EPCOT’s Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros had its right arm stuck in an extended position, leading to jerky motions as the character shakes a maraca.

  1. It seems like I am reading something about rides and/or other attractions at WDW malfunctioning with regularity. Why didn’t the management use all that down time to take care of all the issues before reopening? And why are people so eager to pay the prices that WDW charges for entrance? I just don’t get it. The parks are not nearly as well kept as they were years ago. Very sad. And, tacky of the management.

    • I can’t help but wonder if this seems to be more of an issue now because something like this probably wouldn’t have been reported years ago.
