The canopy connecting the two new ride buildings in Avengers Campus has grown significantly as construction of the land expansion continues in Disney California Adventure. The additional restrooms, which are a separate building, appear to have progressed quickly.
Avengers Campus Expansion Construction Update

The canopy appears to have progressed since our last update. Last year, Walt Disney Imagineering shared that the canopy connecting Avengers Campus’ two new attractions — Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab — was officially being assembled. Our reporter then verified the progress, noting that there were several more pieces of framing on the ground. Those framework pieces appear have been installed, significantly increasing the size of the canopy structure.

A crane was visible at the time of our reporter’s visit.

Concept art indicates this canopy will actually partially cover the Stark Flight Lab attraction. The canopy will get a roof, but the white beams will remain exposed.
Avengers Campus Restrooms

The restrooms appear to have gone vertical and progress quickly. The permit for these restrooms expires on April 16, 2026, so it would be possible for these to open before the rest of the expansion. Currently, the only restrooms in Avengers Campus are located between Pym Test Kitchen and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. The closest restrooms apart from those are located at the Hollywood Backlot or the Golden Vine Winery.
Avengers Campus Expansion

The expansion to Avengers Campus will nearly double the size of the land at California Adventure and add two new rides alongside Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.

Avengers: Infinity Defense is expected to be a 3D attraction using the same system as Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea. Guests will join Marvel superheroes as they jump across the multiverse, battling King Thanos, an alternate version of the villain who won.

The second new ride will be Stark Flight Lab with Robert Downey, Jr. returning as Tony Stark / Iron Man. Guests will board “gyro-kinetic pods” that are lifted into the air by robotic KUKA arms for “flight tests.”
