Mayday Falls, the highest and longest waterslide at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, is unexpectedly closed. At this time, Disney has not shared a reason for the closure or a reopening date.
Mayday Falls

Disney has the following statement on the Mayday Falls webpage: At this time, Mayday Falls is unavailable. There is no confirmed reopening date.
Hang on tight for a fast, turbulent trip down Mount Mayday on a single-rider inner tube.
Big kids, teens and adults will enjoy the gritty thrills of this medium-wild ride that begins in the shadow of Miss Tilly, the shipwrecked shrimp boat atop Mount Mayday and the icon of Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. Swerve through caves, under bridges and past thundering waterfalls—this one’s a rush!
One of 3 Falls raft rides that include Keelhaul Falls and Gang Plank Falls, Mayday Falls is the most intense.
Typhoon Lagoon is scheduled to close for a seasonal refurbishment after February 14. Disney’s Blizzard Beach will open on February 15. Both parks will then operate at the same time from May 26 through September 8, 2026 for Cool Kids’ Summer offerings. We are unsure if the attraction will reopen in time for the summer.
