Every day, more steel is added to the future Encanto ride building at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Since our last construction update, the building hasn’t grown any taller, but crews added more beams to the framework.
Encanto Ride Construction
More of the right side of the building has been filled out with steel. Guests will eventually enter the ride through Casita.
Excavators are at work around the former Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures buildings. These will be repurposed for the new Tropical Americas land.
More Tropical Americas Construction
Though not visible from the ground, we know crews have begun work on the foundation of a new carousel where The Boneyard once sat. The wood-carved carousel will feature various Disney animals, like Kevin from Up. There will also be a new playground in the area.
Construction of the new land will pick up after February 1, when DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will permanently close. Both will be reimagined, with DINOSAUR becoming an Indiana Jones ride.
