Two construction projects have been ongoing in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios since the summer. New built-in benches near Toy Story Land appear near completion while there has been very little construction progress outside Savi’s Workshop.
New Seating Area
Construction walls went up in this area between Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land in July. Some walls came down last month, replaced by rolling planters, as work continues on new bench seating.
Behind the planters this week, we saw a crew member apparently painting a gray wall.
The next day we got a peek at the wall, which lines a flowerbed. It has black railings built-into the top of it.
One of the built-in benches is made of fake rockwork along another flowerbed. Next to that is a wall that looks like part of an old structure. It has a flat top that guests could also sit on.
There’s still plenty of construction materials in the area but it may be close to opening.
Savi’s Workshop Construction
Meanwhile, the construction walls outside Savi’s Workshop have been extended slightly. These walls and scrim went up in late August, blocking part of the walkway outside the build-your-own lightsaber experience, and there has been no visible progress since.
The walls now jut out into the sidewalk a little bit more. For comparison, below is a picture from August.

The walkway is part of the Savi’s Workshop courtyard and waiting area. It’s not clear what construction is going on here.
Meanwhile, over in Toy Story Land, one construction project did recently wrap up with the opening of the new snack kiosk.
