Roof Removed From Pete’s Silly Sideshow During Refurbishment

After a themed scrim was added a few days ago, the roof of the Pete’s Silly Sideshow circus tent has been removed. The meet-and-greet venue in Storybook Circus at the Magic Kingdom is closed for refurbishment for the foreseeable future.

The entire roof has been removed from the tent, which is visible above the themed scrim. It’s not as noticeable from the lower level of Storybook Circus. It’s unclear if the rest of the circus tent theming has been removed due to the scrim and construction walls.

Construction walls went up around Pete’s Silly Sideshow a few weeks ago. The largest section of scaffolding was visible between Pete’s and Big Top Souvenirs. The top of the circus tent was not the real ceiling of the interior, as the actual ceiling of the building is now visible.

The tent had fallen into disrepair over several months last year, with normal fading from the sun as well as a tear in the roof. During the refurbishment, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy are meeting outside in Storybook Circus. As always, guests can meet Mickey in the Town Square Theater at the front of the park, and Pluto roams Storybook Circus.
