As we correctly predicted in our last construction update for Pete’s Silly Sideshow, a themed scrim has arrived at the tent. The meet-and-greet venue is closed for refurbishment for the foreseeable future, so a themed scrim helps improve the view slightly for guests.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow Refurbishment

While the bottom half of the tent is the standard Disney construction walls, the top is a light and dark red with yellow stripes scrim, slightly reminiscent of the circus tent behind it.

The scrim runs across the entire guest-facing area of the construction. The entrance (pictured below on the right as it appeared last week) is now completely covered.

Construction walls went up around Pete’s Silly Sideshow a few weeks ago. The largest section of scaffolding was visible between Pete’s and Big Top Souvenirs. It was previously covered in green scrim. This new scrim both blocks work from the guest view and helps to better protect crew members from the weather.

The tent had fallen into disrepair over several months last year, with normal fading from the sun as well as a tear in the roof. During the refurbishment, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy are meeting outside in Storybook Circus. As always, guests can meet Mickey in the Town Square Theater at the front of the park, and Pluto roams Storybook Circus.
