A temporary wooden structure has gone up outside the Disney Jr. soundstage in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which will get a brand new show this summer.
Animation Courtyard Construction

The Disney Jr. soundstage is part of Animation Courtyard, which is currently closed. The new temporary structure is directly outside the large theater doors, which may become the new entrance or exit. Crews have already removed signage and decorations from the old entrance, not shown in the image above.

The structure is plain wood and doesn’t appear in concept art, leading us to believe it’s temporary. It’s covered in a plastic sheet. It may just be protection for crew members working in the rain.

Meanwhile, a wall of The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure soundstage is being repainted to match the rest of the repainted building. In recent days, the first layers of paint have been evened out but they still aren’t as beige as the side walls.
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, a stage show already presented at Disney California Adventure, will open in the Disney Jr. soundstage this summer. The entire courtyard is also set to reopen this summer with a new version of The Magic of Disney Animation featuring character meet and greets, a playground, and more.
