Tokyo Disney Resort announced a more specific opening timeframe for their new Wreck-It Ralph attraction. They originally announced it would open in 2026 or later.

The Wreck-It-Ralph attraction will open in spring 2027 at Tokyo Disneyland. The shooting ride replaces Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, which closed in October 2024. The Planet M store will also be re-themed.

Tokyo Disney has not announced a name for the new ride but we know guests will team up with Vanellope and Ralph to save the Sugar Rush video game from King Candy. Guests will shoot sugar bugs to turn them back into cute sweets.

The building’s exterior is being transformed to match the new Tomorrowland aesthetic introduced with The Happy Ride with Baymax and The Big Pop.

The ride’s technology will be updated with blasters and vehicles similar to those of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle at Hong Kong Disneyland, which also replaced Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters. Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue at Shanghai Disneyland has a similar system. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World is going through a similar technology update.

A new Space Mountain will also open in 2027 at Tokyo Disneyland.
