Trees Added to Animation Courtyard

Crews have planted trees in Animation Courtyard, which is being reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios, at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

There are now three large trees in the courtyard, one closer to the construction walls and two closer to the former Star Wars: Launch Bay. Crews have spent the last few days installing them. Below is a photo from one week ago without any trees.

The trees are approximately where a new green space is pictured in concept art for the reimagined courtyard, as seen below.

The aerial photo by @bioreconstruct shows what the trees look like behind the walls.

The very closely match what the concept art shows.

Characters will roam this area between The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure and Disney Jr. soundstages. Both buildings have been painted beige.

The trees provide some shade to the area, which was previously partially shaded with the Disney's Hollywood Studios archway.

Check out our last look at Animation Courtyard, including Star Wars: Launch Bay, from before it closed in September. The area is set to reopen this summer with a new Disney Jr. show and the new version of The Magic of Disney Animation.
