Walt Disney Imagineering Concept Art Exhibit Restored at EPCOT Festival of the Arts

An exhibit located in the breezeway between Club Cool and Creations Shop – taken down for repair last week – has been reinstalled.

Imagineering Exhibit Returns to Festival of the Arts

The Drawing on Inspiration display featuring theme park concept art by Walt Disney Imagineers has been reinstalled at EPCOT.

Last week, we noticed the vinyl coverings that comprised the content of this display were removed from their zig-zagging host walls. The display was installed as of January 13, ahead of the official start of the Festival of the Arts on January 16.

However, a few days later, we noticed some warping on the exhibit, specifically along the top of the display walls. This could have been due to fluctuating temperatures at the time after a cold period in central FL, or the consequences of airflow along the breezeway after an improper installation.

The vinyl panels were removed entirely as of January 21, with no official word on the status of the exhibit at that point in time.

As of today, it appears that the exhibit has been fully reinstated along the same walls. No other changes were made to the contents of the exhibit itself or the arrangement of the display planels.

Upon closer inspection, we did notice some very minor bubbling occurring on the front-most panels. We can only hope this doesn’t portend a repeat of the issues that lead to the exhibit’s unfortunate (albeit brief) removal.
