Walt Disney World Marathon Runners Get First Ground-Level Look at ‘Encanto’ Ride Building in Animal Kingdom

Photos shared from this weekend’s Walt Disney World Marathon show that runners passed by the Encanto ride construction, giving us a new ground-level view of the show building in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Ground View of ‘Encanto’ Ride Construction

Our reporter shared these photos with us from the race the morning of January 11, showing runners on the route past the construction fencing and the steel framework of the Encanto show building.

The crane, construction vehicles, and former DinoLand, U.S.A. structures are visible through the fence.

Another shot comes to us from bioreconstruct on X. Though known for their aerial photography of construction in the Disney and Universal Parks, they also frequently share photos from the ground:

The Encanto ride building has risen rapidly since officially going vertical in December 2025, with more steel being added almost every night and a crane towering over the structure. Guests often can see the crane in action during daytime hours moving pieces of steel.

The Encanto attraction will open with the official debut of Tropical Americas in 2027, replacing DinoLand, U.S.A.

‘Encanto’ Ride at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

People walk towards a vibrant, tropical house with colorful flowers and lush greenery in a picturesque setting, reminiscent of an enchanting attraction you might find at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

The first-ever Encanto ride will take guests into Casita on the day Antonio gets his gift of speaking to animals. The Encanto ride’s façade will be Casita, at the back of the fictional Pueblo Esperanza village, and the ride vehicles will be furniture brought to life by the magical house.
