As Disney prepares for multiple new attractions in a brand new land, construction is rapidly progressing on what will be a casita-inspired Encanto ride.
Encanto Ride Construction

Vertical construction is rapidly occurring in the former DinoLand U.S.A., where Disney’s first major attraction based on Encanto will be part of the Tropical Americas land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The attraction’s façade will be inspired by the Casita from the film.

Every day, more steel is added to the future Encanto ride building at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Since our last construction update, the building hasn’t grown any taller, but crews added more beams to the framework.

On today’s visit, we caught the crane in action, moving pieces of steel behind the walled-off area.
The Encanto attraction will open with the official debut of Tropical Americas in 2027. The land, officially called Pueblo Esperanza, will also feature a carousel.

In the former Boneyard area, crews have begun work on the foundation of the new carousel. The wood-carved carousel will feature various Disney animals, like Kevin from Up. There will also be a new playground in the area.
Construction of the new land will pick up after February 1, when DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will permanently close. Both will be reimagined, with DINOSAUR becoming an Indiana Jones ride.
