Gay Days Puts Orlando 2026 Event on Hold

Gay Days has announced their scheduled June 2026 Orlando event, which usually includes visits to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort, has been “paused.” This would have been their 35th anniversary event.

Gay Days Orlando Paused

Gay Days shared a notice on social media and their website announcing the pause due to various factors.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to pause the GayDays Orlando event scheduled for June 2026.

Changes to our host hotel agreement, the loss of key sponsorship support, and broader challenges currently impacting LGBTQIA+ events nationwide made it impossible to deliver the experience our community deserves.

This is a pause — not an ending.

For more than 30 years, GayDays has been built by and for our community. Our focus now is on reimagining the future and returning with a stronger, more sustainable event.

We will share updates in the coming months as we shape the next chapter together.

Thank you for your support, your patience, and for being part of the GayDays family.

The event has not been officially canceled so it’s possible it could go on later this year or return in 2027. It took place in June to coincide with Pride Month.

According to a Walt Disney World Cast Member, one of the GayDays traditions is “bears watching bears,” when a large group of gay men watch the Country Bear Jamboree together en masse, packing the theater.

Gay Days Anaheim is still scheduled to visit Disneyland Resort in September.
