The large breadfruit tree in the first Living With the Land greenhouse at EPCOT is gone. According to cast members, the tree was getting too big for the space.

Where the breadfruit tree used to be is now an empty patch of sand. Cast members said they salvaged the trunk of the tree and the rest will be composted. It’s likely a new breadfruit tree will be planted.

Above is the breadfruit tree in the center of the greenhouse during the Glimmering Greenhouses holiday overlay. It towered over the other plants and was nearly as tall as the greenhouse roof.

Some guests who rode Living With the Land in recent days actually saw crew members removing the tree stump. TikTok user @lunaloveparks shared the video below of the crew digging out the roots.
Instagram user @themeparkcomedians captured a closer look at the stump and roots without crew members around.
The removal follows Living With the Land suddenly being drained on Thursday morning. As of Friday, February 13, the ride is operating normally.
