Grizzly River Run’s ongoing refurbishment continues with painting and other improvements at Disney’s California Adventure.
Grizzly River Run Refurbishment

Grizzly River Run closed in January for its normal annual refurbishment, but we do not yet have a reopening date. A look at the Disneyland Resort calendar shows the ride still being closed on April 10, which is as far out as the calendar currently goes.

Crew members were present during our visit, working on painting sealant and gloss onto the wooden fences on the observation platform.

We’ve already seen signs of paintwork on the ride’s exterior, and several of the new logs inside the ride have received fresh coats of paint, as well.

Scaffolding remains both on the interior and exterior of the attraction.
It’s normal for water rides to close for maintenance in the winter, but this appears to be a more extensive refurbishment than usual.
