Playground and Butterfly Landing Preparation for EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2026

In preparation for the 2026 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival, construction is occurring on the playground and Butterfly Landing near the Imagination Pavilion.

EPCOT Playground Refurbishment

During a recent visit to EPCOT, we noticed green scrim walls have been installed to surround the playground area near the Imagination Pavilion. Awnings with string lights are visible above the scrim walls.

Last year, this playground was inspired by Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and was called Playalong Bay Play Garden presented by Smucker’s Uncrustables.

The Butterfly Landing is also surrounded by long stretches of green scrim walls in anticipation for the festival. Silver tent poles are starting to be installed. The Butterfly Landing is a walk-through garden covered in a thin tent where guests can see live butterflies flitting around.

The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival will return this March with topiaries, gardens, exhibits, concerts, and more. As previously announced, the festival will run from March 4 to June 1, 2026. You can view more details about the festival, including the concert line-up, here.
