Setup for Butterfly Landing Continues for 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival

After previously spotting some green scrims being installed in EPCOT, work has now begun on the returning Butterfly Landing experience for the 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival.

Butterfly Landing Setup

Visitors stroll and relax along a paved path at EPCOT's Flower & Garden Festival, surrounded by geometric buildings and trees in the background.

During our previous report, we noticed some green scrims being erected in EPCOT near the Imagination Pavilion, to the right of the guest walkway. This area to the right has been the home of the Butterfly Landing for the past several festivals.

A construction area covered by green tarps and fencing resembles a scene from EPCOT's Flower & Garden Festival. Two trash bins and a white bench are in the foreground, while trees and a building fill the background, adding to the natural charm.

It appears the scrims are now completed, and the sounds of installation work can be heard behind them.

The scrims do block the bottom half of the white light posts on this side of the walkway, though the top of each post is still visible. The lights are not going to be moved, but it is easier for construction crews to attach the scrims directly to the railing on the edge of the guest walkway.

A swimming pool with clear water shimmers in the foreground, while a butterfly landing on nearby greenery adds a touch of magic. The scene is capped with green grass, a temporary fence, and trees under a cloudy sky, reminiscent of an EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival setting.

The green scrims run along the right edge of the guest walkway, all the way down to the water feature near the Journey Into Imagination Pavilion entrance.

People are gathered on a circular paved area with a central tree and surrounding plants, near a reflective body of water. Green construction barriers hint at EPCOT's Flower & Garden Festival in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

The green scrims do not block any of the guest walkways, and the booth in this area still sits in its normal position.

An outdoor area with fenced-off construction, surrounded by lawns and trees. Paved walkways lead through the scene under a partly cloudy sky, where a butterfly landing adds a touch of grace to the natural tapestry.

Our view of the area from the monorail gave us a glimpse over the scrim. Butterfly Landing requires a large semi-transparent tent to be installed in this space and the tent poles are now being set up. Other construction equipment was visible near the back wall.

A small outdoor kiosk with a green canopy, closed with green tarps around the perimeter, sits like a butterfly landing. Benches, trash bins, and trees adorn the background under a clear sky.

On the right side of the area behind the scrim, hanging chains have been installed. These are typically at the exit of the enclosure.

Butterfly Landing is a walkthrough experience through a garden exhibit. The space is enclosed in a thin tent, so guests walking through can view several species of butterflies flitting through the air. Last year, Butterfly Landing was available for guests to visit through the entire length of the Flower and Garden Festival from park open to dusk.

Disney has announced the full Garden Rocks concert lineup for the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, but a full list of returning activities has not yet been posted. If you want to get a better idea of some of the activities that will likely return in 2025, we have a full guide to last year’s festival, including the outdoor kitchens, character topiaries, and Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt. The 2025 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival will run from March 5 to June 2.
