The exit queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom has been demolished and crews are patching up concrete in front of the coaster. The ride has been closed for over year for a major refurbishment and is set to reopen this spring.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Exit Queue

Over construction walls and scrim, we saw that all the exit queue railings have been torn down. Props also appear to be missing from the area. The building remains intact.

Crews also continue to work in the entrance queue. Scaffolding is over part of the building. The coaster’s entire track was replaced and the ride has been testing on and off for a few months. It seems most construction is now focused on the entrance and exit. Crews have also been testing geysers.
Concrete Work

In front of the construction walls, there are some fresh red patches in the concrete. Stanchions are around a large section that was still drying on Thursday morning.
When Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reopens, it will have an updated opening scene with a transformation of the Rainbow Caverns, refreshed Audio-Animatronics, and gold props.
