The popular children’s entertainers appeared to be filming a new special at Disneyland Resort the other day, a year following a similar Blippi production at Walt Disney World Resort.
Blippi Visits Disneyland
Instagram user @2b_havingfun caught some photos in what appears to be Disney California Adventure showing a film crew working alongside children’s entertainers, Blippi and his best friend, Meekah.
The two were spotted filming a sequence somewhere along Buena Vista Street, the entry area for Disney California Adventure. Both were seen wearing their usual vibrant costumes, with the addition of a Mickey ear hat and a Minnie Mouse ear headband for Blippi and Meekah, respectively.
There is not much to glean from the photos about the nature of the film work, but it is likely to be an official Disney-sponsored special episode or series for the Blippi program following a similar project filmed for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line in 2025.
Blippi is a children’s entertainment brand built around the high-energy and inquisitive personality of the titular host, Blippi. The character was created by Stevin John, and over time, the series grew from short educational YouTube videos into a much larger franchise spanning streaming, toys, books, live shows, and multiple performers in the title role.
The brand has expanded to include new characters like Meekah, seen in the above photos and the Walt Disney World special, and has additionally produced spinoffs such as Blippi’s Treehouse and Blippi Wonders.
The basic format is simple: Blippi visits real-world places such as vehicles, play spaces, parks, factories, and museums, then explains what children are seeing in a bright, upbeat, beginner-friendly way. That formula helped the brand scale well beyond YouTube, and Blippi programming has also appeared on major streaming services.
