The Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland Park is currently closed to make way for a new stage show based on the popular kids’ series Bluey.
Stage Construction Work Continues on New Bluey Show

Work has been progressing steadily on the new Bluey stage show coming to Disneyland’s Fantasyland Theatre.
On a recent visit, we noticed some additional “trees” added to the set design. Judging by concept art released for the show, the trees will surround a smaller, wooden interior set featuring some colored hanging lights and housing much of the action during the stage show.
You can compare our latest peak at the stage design against the concept art below.

Beginning March 22, 2026, and continuing through the year, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” will transform the Fantasyland Theatre into the grounds of Bluey’s school, where guests can join the fun of Bluey’s “best day ever”.
Throughout the day, Bluey and her sister Bingo will appear live on stage, joining a troupe of comedic actors and musicians. Guests can step into the fair at Bluey’s school with the Grannies, Chattermax, Unicorse and delight in themed foods at Troubadour Tavern.
A permit was also recently filed for new signage at the Fantasyland Theatre for the upcoming show.

Bluey’s New Appearances Across Disney Experiences
Bluey is an Australian animated children’s television series that premiered in 2018. Created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio, the show follows Bluey, a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy, and her family, including her younger sister Bingo and their parents, Bandit and Chilli. The series has been widely praised for its storytelling, parenting themes, and depiction of childhood imagination.
While produced in Australia and originally airing on ABC Kids, Bluey gained global popularity after being distributed internationally through Disney platforms, including Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+. The show has become one of the most-streamed children’s programs on Disney+, and its characters have expanded into merchandise, live stage shows, books, and interactive experiences around the world.
More recently, Bluey has appeared in domestic Disney Parks and cruise experiences as the show’s popularity has grown.
