BREAKING: Thomas Mazloum Named Chairman Disney Experiences to Replace Josh D’Amaro

The Walt Disney Company has announced that Thomas Mazloum will succeed Josh D’Amaro as Chairman of Disney Experiences.

Thomas Mazloum Expected Successor to Josh D’Amaro to Lead Disney Experiences

“Thomas Mazloum is an exceptional leader with a genuine appreciation for our cast members and a proven track record of delivering growth,” said D’Amaro. “His focus on service excellence, broad international leadership, and strong connection to the creativity that brings our stories to life make him the right leader to guide Disney Experiences into its next chapter.”

Mazloum has run Disneyland Resort since March 2025 as Disneyland President.

As President of Disneyland Resort, Thomas Mazloum currently leads 36,000 cast members and all areas of the business, including Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, three resort hotels and the Downtown Disney District.

Mazloum began his Disney career in 1998 as a hotel director for Disney Cruise Line and later ran Disney Signature Experiences, which includes Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Adventures by Disney and more. He was also Senior Vice President of Operations at Walt Disney World, overseeing 31 Disney resort hotels, as well as Disney Springs, ESPN Wide World of Sports and transportation operations.

Josh D’Amaro is succeeding Bob Iger as Disney’s chief executive officer, as Iger steps down on March 18 at the company’s annual meeting.

The Disney Experiences segment employs more than 185,000 people worldwide and delivered nearly $10 billion in operating income last year — accounting for over half of the company’s total earnings.
