The date has been announced for the 2026 CHOC Walk in the Park fundraiser, which takes place at Disneyland Resort and leads the parks to open late.

CHOC Walk in the Park will be on the morning of Sunday, August 2. Disney hasn’t released operating hours for this date yet, but the parks will likely open at 8:30 a.m. instead of 8:00 a.m.

Participants walk three miles through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

To participate in the fundraiser, guests ages 3+ must pay a $10 registration fee and raise at least $125 before the event. Guests 2 years of age and younger can do the walk for free. Participants who raise $400+ will receive a Disneyland Resort Park Hopper ticket for use on August 2 after the walk.

The fundraiser benefits Rady Children’s Health Orange County (previously Children’s Hospital of Orange County and Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego), a “nonprofit healthcare system dedicated to providing pioneering, compassionate, and customized care for infants, children, adolescents, teens, and young adults.”

The walk began in 1990 but Disney’s relationship with the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) dates back to its founding. Walt Disney was on the hospital’s founding board and helped secure funding for its 1964 opening. Disney Legend and animator Bob Moore designed the first version of CHOC’s brown bear mascot, Choco.
